Greg Difranco is one of the highly regarded names in the flat tin world. Some 10 years ago I spent the weekend following him around at the Kulmbach Show and grew to respect him for a host of reasons.

When Greg found out that I lost my original site he sent his condolences. When I informed him that I had determined to start afresh, he offered to send items for the new site. The first item that came to my mind is his Carthaginian War Elephant. It is a masterpiece. Most of you are probably already familiar with it, but it is posted here again for everyone to enjoy.

Greg paints this piece, like much of his work, in grayscale first thus establishing the shadows and highlights. Then he applies subtle glazes of colors.
