I trust you enjoyed seeing the work of Tiziana in a recent post. I particularly enjoyed her work in flat figures.
Well, Tiziana has a husband, Claudio Cavina, who paints as well. He has enjoyed painting since he was a young boy. He is drawn to 28mm medieval themes.
I know these are not flat figures, but I have posted non flat figures before. I have found that many painters do not restrict themselves to flats. Check out some of the work we posted of Andreas Barz that are not flat figures. Even the highly respected Greg DiFranco paints and sculpts fully round figures.
Claudio primarily paints 28mm figures with acrylic, but is working to learn how to use oil paints as well.
I want to thank Tiziana for sending me photos of her husband’s work.
The first few photos are of “The Golden Fleece,” a jousting tournament.
Claudio sculpts as well. Here is his rendering of the famous statue, “David.”
Notice his attention to detail in these flags:
Here are some other photos, some of these are of “The Triumph of Maximilian” and “The Battle at Crecy.
Thanks to Tiziana for letting us know about the work of her husband, and thanks to Claudio for sharing his work with us. The work posted above represents hours upon hours of careful work.
