Have you taken a look at Rich Odell’s site lately? He has been working on a few new projects I think are absolutely beautiful. First, he has sculpted a bas-relief bust of Amy Johnson, a female pilot. I don’t care how “green” I am to painting flats, I’m going to order one of these when they are available. He is also working on a fascinating project relating to Dorothy in “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” You need to point your browsers to www.richardodell.com/blog to see the images mentioned above.
Another note of interest. Penny Meyer, was nominated, and unanimously voted in, as a Grand Master Painter at MFCA this year. When she reported the news at the June SCAHMS meeting, she was so touched by the recognition she was in tears. Penny has a copy of Rich’s “London Ambulance Column” and is going to paint the piece. She is also going to provide us with a step-by-step. I cannot wait to see this. She has told me she is very impressed with Rich’s work and absolutely loves the female theme.
Keep the great work, Rich
