I assume that people who visit this site are even more familiar with the International Flat Figure Society in England. I try to visit their forum once a day. Recently, there appeared a post by Brigitte Grobe concerning a TV program that was filmed about Heinrichsen flats. It was filmed in HD and beautifully presented.

I encourage you to watch it for yourself: http://www.br.de/mediathek/video/sendungen/zwischen-spessart-und-karwendel/zinnfiguren-heinrichsen-104.html

To order flat figures, Heinrichsen website is here: http://www.heinrichsen.de

The only challenge for me is not knowing German, but it did not hinder me from enjoying the program. If you are like me in not knowing German, you can always use the Google Chrome Browser. It is a free download, and includes a translation feature. When I visit the Heinrichsen site, or any other foreign site, all I do is click the “translate” button at the top of the browser and everything is translated into English. This certainly opens a lot of doors of opportunity.

One more note, I posted some of the work of Steve Cady on April 4th, 2013. There are several flats from the Heinrichsen range in that post: http://www.flattinfigures.com/the-work-of-steve-cady You can also visit his website: http://castlesoftin.blogspot.com The feature image at the start of this post is a Heinrichsen figure painted by Steve.
