Marilyne Neurohr is taking Skype lessons from a notable figure in the flat tin figure world. Here is her latest work.

Marilyne writes:

Dear Steven and all tin-friends,
Here is the latest work that I paint. My first big size portrait flat in oil.
Editor: PiliPili…from a tableau by Rogier van der Weyden.
The special challenge on this flat was, for me, to paint the transparent-bonnet and the facial expression. The original by Rogier van der Weyden is just beautiful, with many colors-nuances on the skin. As I said before this flat is painted with oil.
Thanks to encouragements from friends and particularly support from Mike Taylor,  I begin to paint with oil again some months ago, and I enjoy it more and more. Even it is not easy, after years of acrylic-paint. I hope you like it..and happy painting to everyone 🙂

Marilyne is receiving quite a bit of attention lately. The Flat Society in France, the AFCFEF recently posted a link to Marilyne’s article on Vladimir Douchkine ( No doubt she will contribute much more to this art in the days and years to come.
